Case Study: Topshop/Topman Trafford Centre

A complete strip out and re-fit of a 63,000sq.ft. retail space to include several different brands Topshop, Topman, and Miss Selfridges across 2 floors. The project was phased to ensure continuous trading throughout the projects duration. The scope included oversized escalators, a spectacular bespoke helical staircase, and a large central feature frame on the first floor. The entire concept was designed to maximize the height and floor area available. The design is unique to the UK and the Arcadia Group.

TDK have been working with the Arcadia Group for over 20 years. Oxford street 214 and 216 stores are 110,000 Ft² and are flagship to Arcadia. Working together we have completed numerous projects in the busy live environment, co-ordinating our works not to disturb the public during opening hours. We delivered, Topshop, Topman, beauty, shoes, and lingerie spaces. The project involved window seasonal displays, floor moves and staircase refurbishment.

The development of a dilapidated Edwardian department store to create an office of 4,767sqm. Incorporating a design studio, a new social rooftop space designed as a series of pavilions, staff cafe, gallery seminar space, facilities for staff including cycle storage, showers and a landscaped garden courtyard. The development also included a refurbishment of the former fire Station and Stables adjoining the main building, converting these into Brixton Post office and three units for business.

Working closely with Intevari and Envir & Cult, this project was taken from brief, through manufacture to delivery in 2 weeks. The project involved new wall paneling, graphics, floor finishes, furniture and accessories.

Refurbishment of an educational establishment to create an elegant reception, administrative work spaces, classrooms, student interaction spaces, games room and services. The project involved complete decoration, flooring and joinery work. Also new AV systems, electrical and lighting work were installed.

This project involved the refurbishment of a five floor listed building for the restaurant, retaining and restoring all existing features. The works included complete new M&E and interior fit out to meet the premium finishes, including marble floors throughout the ground floor, timber and carpet floor finishes. Bespoke joinery for marble tables, leather seating, reeded glass back bars on two floors and numerous credenzas, waiter stations and wine racks on all floors.
